For the first time ever, CMHS will be represented at the State Theatrical Design Contest! We’re incredibly proud of Kaia Kendrick and Gracie Fruth, who advanced in the Hair and Makeup category with their stunning concepts and realized designs from the children’s musical The Axoloris by Sean Mendelson. 🧜♀️🖌️🎨
These talented students have been working diligently since November, researching, sketching, and refining their vision. They brought their creations to life on models from our very own theatre troupe in January and again in April—showcasing creativity, technique, and storytelling through makeup and hair design.
This journey is extra special for Kaia, who placed in the regional semi-finals last year with her bold and dramatic designs from Hadestown.
We are so proud of these trailblazers and can’t wait to cheer them on at the State level! 🌟💚
