This week, our English classes had the opportunity to learn about the benefits, career paths, and opportunities available in the armed forces. Students asked great questions and learned how military service can help with education, job training, and personal growth. A big thank you to our guest for taking the time to speak with our students and provide them with useful information for their futures! 🇺🇸

On March 27-28, CMHS hosted the 4A Bi-District OAP contest for Districts 13 &14. The Caddo Mills cast and crew of A Bright Swarm of Beetles have advanced to the Area round of UIL One Act Play. We are now in a select group of the top 48 shows in the state of Texas. This is the second year in a row OAP has received this opportunity.
Many students were independently recognized at the contest. Avalynn Ackenback received All Star Tech. Payton Steiniger & Donald Pierson were named Honorable Mention All Star Cast. Silas Miller was named All Star Cast and Michael Ortiz was given the coveted Best Performer of the competition. It was a great day to be a Fox!
The show will have an open preview rehearsal on Monday April 7th @ 6:30PM at the Sue Walker PAC. Our students would love to have their community come support them before contest. Please let's pack to PAC!
Contest will be April 9th at Tyler Junior College Roger Palmer Performing Arts Center. Admission is $10 and the contest begins at 10AM.

For the first time in history, CMHS advanced a theatrical designer to the State level of competition! This is Kaia's second time to compete in the contest. She made great strides in only a year's time. Last season, Kaia made the semi-finals but was just short of the state advancement.
Kaia Kendrick will attend the State UIL Theatrical Design contest May 16th-17th at Austin ISD PAC to compete in Hair & Makeup design. Congratulations Kaia!
