Griffis is beyond lucky to have Officer Galvan on our team! 💚🦊 When he first joined us, he asked how he could lend a hand. We jokingly said, "Lunch duty!" His reply? “I don’t do lunch duty!!!” 😂 But fast forward, and now he’s the lunch duty MVP—opening tricky lunch packages, handing out badge stickers, and making everyone smile. He doesn't miss a day of "lunch duty!" We’re so grateful for his dedication to our students and staff. Caddo Mills ISD truly has the BEST police department around! 💚💚

“Legendary Fox” Mrs. Linda Sue Wilson, a cherished PE teacher, started the Little Dribblers program at Caddo Mills Elementary in 1996. Over the years, the program evolved under names like KITS (Kids In Training), PIPS (Players In Progress), and Little Dribblers, but its mission remained the same: inspiring a love for basketball and building skills. Mrs. Wilson’s passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to empowering students have left an incredible legacy.
This year, inspired by her vision, Little Dribblers alumni have revived the program for a new generation. FIT (Foxes In Training) was introduced at Griffis Elementary and is proudly coached by Lynsey Sargent and Danielle Mann, with FIT shirts generously sponsored by Lori Howell, Coldwell Banker, Apex Realtors.
Friday night's performance was dedicated to Mrs. Linda Wilson, a true legend who touched countless lives. We were honored to have the Wilson family there with us: Jim & Parker Wilson and Kasey, Audrey & Avery Reinhart. Her memory lives on in every dribble, every cheer, and every laugh. Whether it’s performing the Monster Mash or singing the 12 Days of Christmas, her spirit is ever-present. Once a Fox, Always a Fox!

Mrs. Bailey's 4th graders have been having fun learning all about the water cycle. We became part of the water cycle as we traveled around the room through evaporation, condensation and precipitation. We also conducted an experiment to help us learn the steps! What a fun week!

Due to increased requests, we have decided to do an RSVP with a Venmo option for the dance. This will also help our awesome vendors prepare. We are so excited to have dinner options from Sweeney BBQ, refreshing lemonade from Honey Bee Lemonade AND permanent jewelry from Hey Honey!!!

🚨 Attention: Important Reminders for Arrival and Dismissal 🚨
We need your help to address some safety concerns during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal.
🚗 Morning Drop-Off Concerns
It has come to our attention that some parents are stopping their vehicles in unsafe locations to drop off students. Specifically, we’ve observed cars parked at stop signs on Caddo Downs and Stonehaven, as well as vehicles stopping at the crosswalk to let students out. Additionally, Greenshade Ln, Cotton Mill Dr, and Seabiscuit Rd frequently have cars parked during arrival and dismissal, creating unsafe conditions for students and unnecessary traffic congestion.
As a reminder, if you are dropping off or picking up your child in a vehicle, you must use the designated car line for their grade level. This ensures a safer and more efficient process for everyone.
🚧 Seabiscuit Parking Restrictions
Vehicles are not allowed to park on Seabiscuit by the playground fence. Since the colder weather, we’ve noticed an increase in cars parking there to pick up students classified as walkers, which has caused backups in our front car line and traffic flow on Seabiscuit.
If you are picking up your student in a vehicle, please join the car line for their grade level.
⚠️ Crosswalk Safety
Please be mindful of the crosswalk on Seabiscuit. We’ve observed several cars speeding or failing to pay attention while approaching the crosswalk. Safety is our top priority, and we ask for your cooperation in ensuring students, staff, and families remain safe.
Thank you for your attention to these important matters and for helping us maintain a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process!

Talk about a blast from the past—who remembers Little Dibblers? 🏀 Tonight, our Foxes in Training (FIT) Team Black hit the court during the varsity games and absolutely crushed it! 🌟 PreK-4th graders from Griffis showed off their amazing basketball skills and made us all proud. Huge shoutout to Coach Sargent and Coach Mann for creating this incredible opportunity and pouring your hard work into our future athletes. Way to go, FIT! 🦊👏
It's a GREAT Day to be a Fox. GO Griffis!
