UIL tryouts are happening soon! Please see the schedule for dates and times. UIL coaches will be coming around to classrooms, talking about their event and handing out tryout permission forms. Please encourage your child to try out if they are interested in competing. If your child makes a team practices will begin by the first week in October and will continue weekly until we compete. Our UIL competition will be held at Griffis on Friday, January 19. Reach out to emilton@caddomillsisd.org if you have any questions. It's a great day to be a Fox! Let's work hard to bring home another UIL Championship!

UPDATED: The 3rd and 4th Grade Parent Meeting is on Thursday!!! Week at a Glance @ Griffis- August 28- September 1. Reminders: Our WatchDOG Kickoff and Grade Level Parent Meetings will be held in the Cafeteria. Safety Reminders: Please exercise caution and remain vigilant while driving near our school drop off and pick up locations around Griffis. We are grateful for Officer Galvan, staff on duty and our crossing guard Mrs. Pedersen. Let's do our part to ensure the safety of students, staff and parents. We also want to remind our families to always pick up and drop off students at Griffis and not use the surrounding neighborhoods as drop-off/pick-up locations. Officer Galvan would like to remind parents while driving on surrounding city roads, that no vehicle shall be driven to the left side of the center of the roadway in overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction. Even though the Texas Transportation Code allows this in certain circumstances it is dangerous to do so. Vehicles turning into the back parking to drop off their children might not look for oncoming vehicles before turning.
