🌟 Happy National School Counseling Week! 🌟
At Griffis, we are beyond grateful for our incredible counselor, Mrs. Tilton.
Mrs. Tilton embodies what it means to be a servant leader—always putting students first, always showing up with a heart full of kindness, and always offering support with a calm, steady presence in every storm. Her warmth is genuine, her compassion is felt by all, and her wisdom guides our campus, staff, and students in countless ways.
Thank you, Mrs. Tilton, for leading with grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Griffis loves you, and we are so thankful for the impact you make every single day.

District maintenance crews have worked diligently today to prepare parking lots and sidewalks in anticipation of welcoming staff and students back tomorrow. Major roadways, including I-30 and Highway 66, are in good condition. However, many neighborhood streets, county roads, and several parking lots remain covered with a thick layer of ice.
To ensure the safety of our families, staff, and students, CMISD will be closed on January 29.

Just a little equivalent fraction fun with Mrs. Bailey, Cummings and Stout's math classes this week! Hands-on learning is so much fun! It's pretty fun to teach too!

From chalk polar bears to collaboration squares, we've had a stimulating start to the New year! 🎨

Water has been restored to our campuses.

Due to a water main break in town, water service to the Middle School, Lee Elementary, and the Intermediate School has been affected. Students are currently eating lunch.
City crews are actively working to repair the break, and water service is expected to be restored within a couple of hours. The High School, Griffis, and Kirkpatrick campuses are not impacted by the water main break.
If possible, parents are encouraged to pick up their students from the affected campuses. If you are unable to do so, normal dismissal procedures will remain in place.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Any changes and updates will be communicated throughout the afternoon.

From coding to collaboration, the RoboFoxes put their skills to the test at their first robotics competition, and even advanced to finals! 🤖💪
We couldn't be prouder of these young engineers!

Fun and engaging is how we learn in Mrs. Bailey's Math class! This week we used fraction bars and a fun matching game to help us learn how to add and subtract fractions with like denominators!
