Griffis Parent Meetings begin next week. These meetings will begin in the Griffis cafeteria. You may park and enter at the back of Griffis. Please make plans to attend to learn about our partnership with families.
Griffis bus parents: all your students have been safely loaded on the bus! The buses are running behind but they are headed your way.

Dismissal for our first day went pretty smoothly!
Here are some important reminders to help us to dismiss efficiently!
*Pre K-1st grade are picked up in the back. Older siblings will dismiss in the back with them.
*2nd-4th are picked up in the front.
*If you do not have a car tag to display please message your child’s teacher and they will send one home. Or you can create your own! Name and grade level written on the tag.
*Pre K, K & 1 walkers need a parent to meet them at pickup unless they have an older sibling with them.

All walkers and car rider parents please have your signs visible. If you don’t have one please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Today, our school lunch system crash at Lee and Griffis, and students in grades PK-4 were marked as “inactive” instead of “active”. The company has fixed this issue and students have been restored in our database. Do not worry if you login to www.myschoolaccount.com and see your student(s) account not there. It takes 24 hours for the system to update. Be assured that the money in their account did not disappear and can be seen from our system.
If you still cannot see your student tomorrow, try re-adding their ID number and name. If this does not work, please email bsinema@caddomillsisd.org or call 903.527.3164 ext. 6030. We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you that every student who wants and needs a meal will be served.

ARRIVAL:
The doors open at 7:30 am. Parents WILL be allowed to walk their children to their classroom(s) the first two days of school. (August 18-19). ALL walkers/bikers MUST enter the FRONT of Griffis.
DISMISSAL:
School is dismissed at 3:30pm. Please display car rider signs on your vehicle windshield until your child is in the car. Please do not line up prior to 2:45. No walk ups. Please do not block the crosswalk.
Walkers: Please communicate with your teacher if your student is a front or back walker. PK-1st grade will need a walker sign to pick up your student. Meet at the walker pickup area, not in the parking lot. (See diagram below for exact location.)
Friendly reminder: No cell phone use in School Zones to ensure safety for all. It's the law.
