Week at a Glance

District maintenance crews have worked diligently today to prepare parking lots and sidewalks in anticipation of welcoming staff and students back tomorrow. Major roadways, including I-30 and Highway 66, are in good condition. However, many neighborhood streets, county roads, and several parking lots remain covered with a thick layer of ice.
To ensure the safety of our families, staff, and students, CMISD will be closed on January 29.

Friday news!

🚨 Morning Arrival Reminder 🚨
We’ve noticed an increase in families skipping the drop-off line or parking in our lot during morning arrival, often sending students across by themselves or crossing where there is no crosswalk. There have been several close calls, and student safety is our top priority.
ALL students must be dropped off through the designated drop-off lines.
Thank you for following our procedures and helping keep our students safe while keeping traffic moving smoothly!

Water has been restored to our campuses.

Due to a water main break in town, water service to the Middle School, Lee Elementary, and the Intermediate School has been affected. Students are currently eating lunch.
City crews are actively working to repair the break, and water service is expected to be restored within a couple of hours. The High School, Griffis, and Kirkpatrick campuses are not impacted by the water main break.
If possible, parents are encouraged to pick up their students from the affected campuses. If you are unable to do so, normal dismissal procedures will remain in place.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Any changes and updates will be communicated throughout the afternoon.
