• Coach Qualls has extensive experience in track and field along with Cross Country.  In high school at North Mesquite he played football and ran track.  In track he ran the 200M, 400M, 4x100 relay, and 4x400 relay.  Also competed in Long jump and High jump. 

    In 2001, as head girls track coach at Leonard HS, he coached Lydia Bush to a 6th place finish at the state championship in shot put and discuss. In 2002, she won the state championship in shot put by breaking the state record on each of 6 consecutive throw.  She also finished 4th in discuss.  
     
    The 2018 cross country will be the 5th season that Coach Qualls has been head XC coach at Caddo Mills. 
     
    In 2013 he lead the boys team to qualify for the region meet as a team.  That was the first time in school history a full boys team qualified to advance.  He also had Rebecca Parsons qualify for regional meet that fall. 
     
    In 2015, Amber Reever, a freshman, was district runner up and qualified for Regionals.  She finished 6th at regionals, beating the runner that was district champ, which qualified her for the state meet.  At state, she finished 20th. 
     
    In 2016, Amber Reever, as a Sophomore, was 9th in District 12-4A and qualified for Regionals.  She finished 14 at Regionals and qualified for State.  At State, she finished #133 in the 4A division.
     
    Coach Qualls is looking forward to the talent that will be competing in XC this fall.
