All About Ms. McAdoo
This year will be my 12th year teaching mathematics and 3rd year at Caddo Mills. I will bring a positive attitude and my enthusiastic personality to the classroom to create an environment in which your child will want to learn the subject of mathematics. I am eager to meet your child and start the school year where your child.
A little backstory on me:
I grew up in a small town an hour east of here in Winnsboro from Pre-K to Senior year. I then headed south to Texas State University where I studied math and biology. After college, I worked at a Wildlife Ranch as an animal educator. I jumped onto a bus full of students and drove through the ranch identifying all sorts of different mammals. I am also an avid traveler and will take every chance to explore the world. I took a group of Caddo Mills students to Costa Rica to explore and learn about different cultures. The students were able to bring their school education to life visiting locations where events took place. In the summer of 2020, I will be taking a group of students to Greece!I am fascinated by animals and love to travel but I like to think of them as my hobby. I found my true passion and moved back to northeast Texas where I became a math educator…and I LOVE it! I still tell the kids some fun facts about animals and I even have a joke of the day. Math is an adventure all in itself and I have accepted the challenge to make this excursion as meaningful and enjoyable for your child.
